Vision Therapy

Vision therapy is: A progressive program of vision procedures performed under doctor supervision and individualized to fit the visual needs of each patient.  "VT" is generally conducted in-office, in once or twice weekly sessions of 30 minutes to an hour and supplemented with procedures done at home between office visits.

    Established in 1971, COVD provides board certification for eye doctors and vision therapists who are prepared to offer state-of-the-art services in: Behavioral and developmental vision care, Vision therapy, and Visual rehabilitation.

  • Current Vision Therapy Research
    Many thanks to Dr. Gina Gabriel for compiling this list!  As you can see, vision therapy research is well published in peer reviewed journals.  Much of the funding for vision therapy research is from the National Eye Institute, which is part of the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and is conducted at major Universities.
