| Jul. 14 | Colorado Vision Summit 2012- 4 Stages of Binocularity: The Ladder of Depth Perception The 4 Stages of Binocularity: The Ladder of Depth Perception was presented by our very own therapists, Amy Zeiger and Kayla Wigle, at the Colorado Vision Summit in Steamboat Springs, Colorado this past July! Their presentation covered basic diagnostic requirements, treatments techniques, and activites that restore functional binocular vision starting from the bottom up. | Apr. 30 | Boulder Valley Vision Therapy will be hosting international students from Aalen University As part of a Aalen University (Germany) and Pacific University (Oregon, USA) program, we will be hosting professionals in our office to learn pediatric and vision therapy testing and training techniques in April and May 2012. They will be gaining experience in working with children with developmental delays, autism, and traumatic brain injury. |

| Feb. 4 | CANCELLED: Premium Pre-testing Workshop for the Colorado Paraoptometric Section THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELLED DUE TO A WINTER SNOW STORM Dr. Simonson will be presenting a hands-on training workshop titled "Premium Pre-testing" on Saturday, February 4, 2012. We will then discuss the visual requirements for maintaining a driver's license in the state of Colorado and how to select appropriate testing during an examination based on driving complaints. THIS EVENT WILL BE RESCHEDULED. |

| Feb. 1 | Dr. Jeff Berger to join the Boulder Valley Vision Therapy Team! Dr. Jeff Berger, OD is a Colorado native. He grew up in Littleton, CO, and attended Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. After graduating, he spent two years working as a research associate for the CSU Biochemistry Department before moving to Tahlequah, OK, to attend Northeastern State University College of Optometry.Dr. Berger graduated summa cum laude in 2009 and returned to Colorado with his wife Leslie. Dr. Berger will be in the office on Wednesdays and Thursdays starting in February 2012. |
